A King Family Vineyards Wedding | Crozet, Virginia | Charissa and Sam
Charissa and Sam's wedding at King Family Vineyards in Crozet was absolutely AMAZING! I cannot get over how beautiful the day was – the weather was perfect, the venue was just stunning, and the mountain views were incredible. Set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, the mountains were the perfect backdrop for their wedding ceremony and all of the formal portraits. It actually reminded me so much of Charissa and Sam’s engagement session that we did at Sky Meadows! (See those pictures here.)

Sam and Charissa chose to do a First Look and I’m so glad they did. It was adorable, and we were able to get the majority of their posed photos done before the ceremony!
Doesn’t Charissa look like a princess? Sam actually proposed to her at Disney, so I think this was the look she was going for :) And I loved all the greenery in her bouquet! Foxtail Cottage Floral did an amazing job with all the flowers.
This wedding party was a total blast to work with. Here are some nice photos of them looking beautiful, and then later on you can see their wild and crazy dance floor antics.
I am in love with these light blue/teal bridesmaid dresses!
This smile on Sam’s face is everything! He was so happy to see Charissa walking down the aisle.
This is hands down my favorite ceremony site I’ve ever photographed. It’s impossible to beat those mountain views!
The reception was held in the stunning King Family Vineyards Carriage House. Charissa and Sam didn’t need to do much decorating because the wine barrels, exposed beams, and sliding barn doors are all beautiful on their own! And I loved the simple greenery and floral garland along the head table.
Sam and Charissa chose a fun travel/adventure theme with their décor. They used luggage tags for the place cards, and they asked guests to contribute to a Bucket List with ideas of things for them to do together as a couple!
Sometimes the grand entrance is just TOO exciting, and results in chairs getting knocked over.
We lucked out with a beautiful sunset, and were able to sneak outside during the reception for just a few more bride and groom portraits.
The toasts were all great, and I’m so glad that their dog Bailey made it into the maid of honor toast! I think we all know that pup is an important part of their relationship ❤❤❤
And here come the epic dance floor photos! I think my favorite shot is Charissa dancing with TWO drinks in hand. Girl knows how to party!
Charissa and Sam, thank you so much for including me in your wedding day, and you let me know next time you need family photos with Bailey!
