Fall Engagement Session on Skyline Drive | Luray, VA | Princess and Shawn (and Enzo and Copper)
Exploring Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park with Princess and Shawn for their engagement session was so much fun! These two actually got engaged while at Shenandoah last fall. Princess thought they were just going to be visiting the overlooks on Skyline Drive, but Shawn convinced her to go hiking. When they got to the end of their hike (with a beautiful view), Princess turned around to find Shawn down on one knee!
They’ve got the cutest dachshunds, Enzo and Copper, who were there for the proposal and came along for this adventure too. We also found out that we’re basically neighbors! Shawn and Princess actually live within walking distance from my house, so our dogs are going to become BFFs.

Look at those poses. These dogs are so majestic.
This is one of my favorite dog photos I’ve ever taken - captured Enzo mid-howl! And Copper looking at him annoyed haha.
Aww, Shawn is giving Princess the sweetest look here!
It’s not easy to climb these rocks in boots, but Princess pulled it off! She was wearing non-hiking boots the day they got engaged too - she initially resisted Shawn’s hiking request that day because of her footwear haha. Good thing he convinced her, and now she’s basically a pro at rock scrambling in any kind of shoes.
Puppy kisses for everyone!
This is one of my favorite views in Shenandoah! The Blue Ridge Mountains never disappoint.
I love the braid in Princess’s hair! She planned their engagement photos to perfectly coincide with her bridal hair trial with Agape Airbush Makeup and Hair.
Loving the colors of this blanket that they brought! It goes perfectly with their outfits and the fall leaves.
We made one last quick trip down Skyline Drive for a final overlook stop before the sun went down.
When it’s chilly, you break out the adorable winter sweaters for the dogs!
Can’t wait to photograph their Winery at Bull Run wedding next year, and also just hang out in our neighborhood with our dogs.
