Winter Engagement Photos in Rochester, NY | Highland Park and Genesee Riverway Trail | Marianne and Aaron
Planning engagement sessions in Rochester is always a challenge - everyone knows the weather can be all over the place! But we totally lucked out for the weekend of Marianne and Aaron’s photos. This was just days after a HUGE storm dumped tons of snow on the city! So we got all of the pretty snow covering the ground, but none of the travel headache. It was absolutely perfect. We did have some freezing cold to deal with, but at least the sun was out!
Marianne and Aaron love spending time in Highland Park and along the Genesee River Trail, so those two spots are the locations they picked for their pictures! We started off at the Lamberton Conservatory, circled around the edges of the sledding hills (careful not to get run over!), and finished up on the trails by the reservoir.
This was definitely the coldest engagement session I’ve ever photographed! These two were total champs with the temperatures though, and even dared to take off their vests and jackets for some photos.
In the warmer months, Marianne and Aaron like to ride their bikes from their home in the South Wedge, all along the Genesee Riverway Trail down to the port. And they're actually getting married at the Arbor at the Port! It’s so special when couples pick venues that are meaningful to them ❤️️❤️️❤️️
The sun was going down as we got to the river, so it got even COLDER! I checked the timestamps on these photos, and we lasted a total of 6 minutes here by the river haha. But it was totally worth it, and I’m so glad we captured these last few pictures before my hands were too frozen to push the shutter anymore!
