Surprise proposal in front of the otters at the National Zoo in Washington, DC

Zoe was completely surprised by Leah’s proposal in front of the otter exhibit at the National Zoo in Washington, DC! And it actually occurred on Zoe’s birthday! Talk about a memorable birthday present. Zoe had first proposed to Leah back on Thanksgiving, but Leah had been planning to propose back, and this birthday trip to DC seemed like the best opportunity.

They both love animals (and have two sweet pups back home in Florida!) and their first date was actually at the Tampa Zoo, so spending a day at the National Zoo was perfect for them. And although they haven’t picked a wedding venue yet, you won’t be surprised to know that they are considering zoos haha!

Next stop was at the seals and sea lions! We seriously got super lucky with all the animals that were out and about that afternoon. I’ve been to the zoo plenty of times before where I didn’t see much activity in the water, but I guess the animals all wanted to come out and celebrate Leah and Zoe’s engagement ❤️️❤️️❤️️
