Backyard Wedding in Northern Virginia | Bethany and Scott
Bethany and Scott had a stunning backyard wedding in Northern Virginia! With their original wedding plans disrupted by COVID, a family friend offered up their beautiful yard right on the Occoquan River. They had an absolutely gorgeous sunny day and the picturesque views were the perfect backdrop for their vows. They even had their reception out on the deck so they could enjoy the beauty for the entire day. Wanting to add even more excitement to their lives, they also purchased their first home just a couple weeks before the wedding. Even though Scott and Bethany were faced with some of the most stressful things life can throw at you (and at the same time!), they navigated the whole process as true partners and are ready to take on life together! It’s a real testament to what a perfect team they make ❤️️
Bethany’s sisters were able to be a part of the wedding day, but before the ceremony, she made sure to schedule in a few minutes to video chat with her other bridesmaids!
And she also had the sweetest First Look moment with her dad (who also played the important role of officiant for the wedding!)
Scott was so excited to see Bethany walking down the aisle! He held it together until the last moment.
They had their ceremony streaming on YouTube so that their other guests could watch from home too.
This bluebird hung out and watched most of their ceremony! They’re often known as symbols of good luck and happiness - a great addition to any wedding day ❤️️
Check out the awesome sneakers everyone was rocking for the wedding day. And the guys had matching Die Hard socks hahaha.
This property was just so beautiful! And the timing of the day was just right to get the sun coming through the trees.
Bethany’s sister made their wedding cake! And how amazing are these cake toppers??
The multi-level deck was the perfect setup for a dance floor. Scott and Bethany had their first dance and a joint parent dance! I love that they were able to incorporate these wedding traditions into their big day, and I’m so glad I got to be there to capture all the fun!
