Old Town Alexandria Engagement Photos | Alexandria, VA | Kylie and Trace

Kylie and Trace live in Old Town Alexandria, so it was the perfect spot for their engagement photos! They love spending time walking around Old Town, visiting the restaurants on King Street, and strolling along the waterfront. So their engagement session was spent like many other summer nights, just with their new friend Megan tagging along with a camera 😂.

I always give my couples some general clothing advice when planning for their engagement photos, and sometimes will help them pick out outfits. But the level of planning never goes as far as coordinating with the location haha. So when we showed up to our meeting spot and found beautiful blue hydrangeas blooming, and Kylie and Trace happened to be wearing these perfect blue outfits - it was just an amazing surprise! Don’t think we could have planned that if we tried.

We also discovered my new favorite mural in Alexandria! The colorful #oldtownalxmural will definitely be added to my list of usual stops during Old Town engagement sessions. We did have to wait a minute for a few other people to finish taking photos before getting our turn haha, but it was absolutely worth the wait.

Of course we made a stop on Prince Street to get photos on the cobblestones. Kylie navigated these like a CHAMP in her heels. I even asked her to twirl around for some dancing photos, and this is not an easy task haha.

These two had the biggest smiles the entire session. You can tell how happy they are to be getting married!
