Best Bridal Shops in the DC Area
If you’re newly engaged and planning to wear a wedding dress for your big day, one of the first steps in the wedding planning process is often dress shopping! And the DC area has no shortage of bridal shops to help with your search for your dream wedding gown. I’ve compiled this list of some of the best bridal boutiques in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia areas to guide your search for the perfect dress. I’m sticking with the local DMV bridal shops instead of the big national chains since it’s always great to support other small businesses in the wedding industry!
Make sure you plan ahead - you won’t be able to spontaneously walk into a store and start trying on wedding dresses. All of these bridal shops do require appointments in order to ensure you have the best experience and that you have a stylist dedicated to helping you find the perfect dress! And some locations do have reservation fees to reduce the risk of “no shows.”
I’ve also tried to include as much information as I can about price ranges (so you know ahead of time which bridal salons are in your budget), and available sizes they carry to try on. Regardless of what size you wear, most of the dresses you try on will probably NOT be the perfect size for you! The bridal stylists are pros at maneuvering and clamping dresses in the right spots to give you a good visual of what gowns will look like on you even if the sample isn’t your correct size.
There’s a map at the bottom so you can easily get a visual of where in the DMV these bridal shops are located, and can plan your route if you’re planning to visit multiple stores. There are a few in very close proximity to each other (particularly in Alexandria, Falls Church, and Columbia) if you’re able to make appointments on the same day!

Brooke's Bridal and Ball
Fairfax, VA
Brooke’s Bridal and Ball is a family-owned bridal boutique run by the mother-daughter team of Brooke and Nanci Ramos. Located in Old Town Fairfax, the salon staff goes above and beyond for every client, and strives to find each bride the perfect dress that is “uniquely you.”
They have wedding dresses from a variety of designers, including Madi Lane and Maggie Sottero. And be sure to check out dresses from their “Beautiful by Brooke” collection - it’s the salon’s private label, which features unique gowns from top designers that have been handpicked by Brooke and her team. Dress prices range from $1500 - $4000, with the average dress $1700 - $2500.
Brooke’s Bridal and Ball also offers the unique experience of champagne appointments. You can reserve the entire studio for 2-3 hours to try on dresses with your closest friends while sipping champagne and snacking on charcuterie and desserts!
The salon has also recently opened Brooke’s Bridal and Beyond - a second location with gowns for mothers of the bride/groom, special occasion gowns, and prom dresses.
Tang's Bridal
Manassas, VA
Tang's Bridal | Alterations | Bespoke is a one stop complete bridal experience! From meeting your stylist for the first time in their private, exclusive bridal studio to making your wedding dress vision come to life with Xiao-Yin with their in-house alterations, Tang’s is with you every step of your bridal journey. Tang’s not only has beautifully designed gowns by Maggie Sottero and Pronovias, but they also carry a variety of veils, hair accessories, and jewelry to complete your look.
What sets Tang’s apart is that they serve the entire wedding party – from tuxedo rentals/sales to alterations for the whole bridal party. After the wedding, they can clean and/or preserve your wedding dress and continue to provide alterations for your everyday clothing! Their goal is to create a stress-free and memorable experience for every one of their customers by providing the best possible service they can offer.
Wedding dress prices range from $1100 - $4000 and they carry sample dresses from size 2 - 24.
The Bridal Room
McLean, VA
Located in McLean, Virginia, The Bridal Room offers an intimate and private bridal shopping experience for DC area brides and their bridal party in a private bridal suite and beautiful environment. Owner Heba Adat grew up watching her aunt design wedding dresses, and just knew that one day she would open her own bridal boutique! The Bridal Room’s ultimate goal is to provide a curated selection of gowns with an unforgettable shopping experience.
They carry a variety of designers, but a favorite is Kelly Faetanini, who provides unique designs and unlimited customizations to each bride. After booking an appointment, every client is paired with an experienced bridal consultant who will take the time to hand select gowns before the appointment and help you to navigate through the process of selecting the perfect wedding gown.
The Bridal Room’s collections range from $1800 - $6000, with the majority falling in the $2000 - $4000 range.
Vivid Bridal Boutique
Woodbridge, VA
Vivid Bridal Boutique was opened with the idea that everyone should feel confident and beautiful on their wedding day. Owner Susana Pessoa explains that shopping at VBB is more than looking for a wedding dress - it is a bridal experience where love, inclusivity, and kindness are celebrated daily. And of course, always celebrated with an exquisite sense of style!
Their designer wedding dresses are stunning, and their staff loves what they do, so don't be surprised if you become BFFs with them. Featuring designers like Justin Alexander, Stella York, and Lillian West, this boutique has a wide range of styles to help you find that perfect dress. You can easily book an appointment on their website, and take a second to read their helpful FAQ and blog posts where you can find tons of great tips on all things bridal.
Vivid carries sample dresses in sizes from 8 - 30, and they carry two lines specializing in plus-size gowns. Wedding gown prices range from $1700 - $4500, with the average around $2200.
TLC Bridal
Frederick, MD
Downtown Frederick’s stylish bridal boutique, TLC Bridal, is a hidden gem based in a charming historic building. They’ve been helping Maryland brides find their dresses for over 20 years, with JayJay, the current owner, taking over the shop in 2014.
You won’t find any high pressure sales tactics at TLC Bridal - their goal is to help you find your dream wedding dress, even if it’s somewhere else! But with a variety of designers available, including Lilian West and Maggie Sottero, there’s a good chance your dream wedding gown is waiting for you at TLC Bridal. The shop carries dresses in sizes 6 - 24 and prices range from $1100 - $3000.

Curvaceous Couture Bridal
Columbia, MD
Curvaceous Couture Bridal is a family-owned, inclusive bridal boutique in Columbia, Maryland that specializes in the curvier bride. Curvaceous Couture is the first designer bridal boutique to feature a complete collection of full figure and one of a kind wedding gowns from all over the world in sizes 16 - 32. They hand pick each designer that comes into the store and carry some really great collections - their team can never settle on a favorite designer because they love them all! Some of the designers they carry in store are Maggie Sottero, Allure Bridals, and Justin Alexander. Prices start at $1200 and their most popular styles are in the $1500 - $2500 range.
The inspiration for Curvaceous Couture started when owner Yukia Walker was shopping for her own wedding dress and struggled to find bridal shops that carried gowns in her size to try on. After discovering so many other curvier brides facing similar disheartening challenges when choosing their wedding gowns, Yukia and her sister Yuneisia decided to start their own shop. When brides come into their boutique they can expect to not only feel like family, but to receive an experience that is personalized to them. One where they receive that magical treatment that all brides should experience when shopping for the dress of their dreams. Make sure to ask about their champagne and cupcakes appointments!
Rosalin's Bridal Boutique
Falls Church, VA
Rosalin’s Bridal Boutique was opened in 1986 by a pair of sisters, Rosalin and Van. When they decided to retire in 2017, another pair of sisters, Veronica Ramos and Rosario Ulisse, and their mother Rosita Ramos took over! The new owners are continuing the boutique’s legacy and expanding on it with the addition of new designs. They believe strongly in providing an amazing customer experience and celebrating that love is love!
What makes Rosalin's unique is their casual and laid back approach to dress shopping. They ask all of their clients the technical stuff beforehand so they can prepare to customize each bride’s experience. They are known as the little shop with a lot of dresses! It’s not uncommon for brides to come from several hours away to their Northern Virginia location because they carry unique styles and designers as well as more well-known ones.
Some of the designers they feature include Willowby by Watters, Modeca Bride, and Anny Lin. Prices range from $1100 - $3500, though they also typically carry 30-40 sample dresses for sale from $750 - $1500.
Zoya's Atelier

Located in historic Old Town Alexandria, this bridal salon carries dresses from designers like Pronovias, Essence of Australia, Madi Lane, and Justin Alexander. They proudly advertise almost exclusively with real clients rather than models, so you can get tons of inspiration from actual brides wearing their gowns.
Sample dresses are available in sizes 8 - 20. Typical dress prices range from $1400 - $6000, though they do also have an under $1000 sample sale which you can shop in-store or online.
Elegance by Roya
Alexandria and Tysons Corner, VA
With two Northern Virginia locations to choose from, you can get the Elegance by Roya experience in both Old Town Alexandria and Tysons Corner. This family-owned bridal boutique has been in business serving the DC area for over 20 years, started by fashion designer and owner Roya Hashimi. They are proudly the exclusive Northern Virginia retailer for a number of leading bridal fashion designers. Some of the designers they carry include Vera Wang, Mikaella, Estee Couture, and Abella. They offer a high level of customer service to every bride, with a dedicated bridal consultant to guide you through finding your perfect wedding dress.
At Elegance by Roya, they want all of their clients to find the dress of their dreams, and they offer a wide range of plus-size wedding dresses at their Old Town location with a large selection of sizes 16-24 (the Tysons Corner shop has a smaller selection). The majority of sample dresses in both stores are sizes 10-12.

White Swan Bridal

Located in Vienna, VA White Swan Bridal has been helping Northern Virginia brides find their perfect wedding dresses for the past 19 years. The owner, Anna, is now running the business that was started by her mother, carrying on her memory and still using her mom’s patented corset design in their gowns!
One of the shop’s highlights is that their gowns are all displayed on mannequins, so you can easily see each design and how it fits/flows when worn before even trying it on! White Swan’s team also makes custom gowns and their skilled seamstresses can handle any alterations that you need (both on their gowns or any from the outside as well). With a wide array of styles, White Swan Bridal offers wedding dresses for every budget and proudly carry very unique pieces that aren’t available anywhere else. Some of their featured designers include Casablanca, Kitty Chen Couture, and Roz la Kelin.
