Winery at Bull Run Wedding | Centreville, VA | Ang and Katie
I’ve been looking forward to Ang and Katie’s wedding day ever since we had their engagement session. These two are the sweetest couple and just so laid back! They wanted their big day to be relaxed and focused on having fun with their family and friends. They picked The Winery at Bull Run for their wedding venue because it had the perfect mix of a beautiful outdoor setting and the casual atmosphere that they wanted.
Katie and Ang started the day off together getting their hair and makeup done at a nearby hotel. I don’t think I’ve ever walked into a getting ready space and found more relaxed brides!
Katie and Ang had their First Look outside of the hotel, and we found the perfect little spot around the corner from the entrance. Even though they had spent much of the morning together, it was still such a sweet moment when they finally got to see each other in their dresses!
We had lots of time for photos at the winery before the ceremony, so we got tons of great portraits! Between the murals, the Hillwood Ruins, and the vineyard, The Winery at Bull run has so many perfect picture spots.
How cool is the back of Ang’s dress?!
The ceremony took place at the winery’s iconic Hillwood Ruins. Definitely one of my favorite ceremony sites ever!
Their officiant had asked them each to come up with five things that they loved about the other, and it was crazy how similar they were! I also loved how much their dog, Tessa, was mentioned during the ceremony.
After Ang and Katie kissed, cheers broke out behind them as about a hundred winery guests were actually watching the ceremony too! It was such a fun surprise to have even more people celebrating with them.
Ang and Katie made the cutest signage! And look, Tessa even made an appearance on the sign too.
This was my first wedding in the new Production Barn at The Winery at Bull Run, and I absolutely love how it looked! The giant tanks were such a cool backdrop for the reception. And since Katie and Ang love hiking and traveling, the guest tables were all named after National Parks.
The dance floor was a blast! Ang and Katie have such a fun group of friends who were not afraid to bust out the killer dance moves. At one point a giant conga line formed that took over the entire floor!
And we ended their night with a couple more quick photos out on the patio. It was such a beautiful day and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!
