Lydia Mountain Lodge Wedding | Stanardsville, VA | Megan and Marisa
Marisa and Megan’s wedding at Lydia Mountain Lodge took place on an absolutely perfect spring day! It had been raining the day before and was super foggy that morning, but thankfully the weather cleared up just in time. These two were able to get married under blue skies and sunshine!
I remember talking to Megan and Marisa about their wedding at their engagement session, and they were SO excited that it wasn’t going to be just a one day event. Their guests rented several cabins on the property, and they were able to have a wedding celebration all weekend long. You can’t go wrong with a weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by your family and friends!
Marisa and Megan got ready that morning in separate cabins, waiting until their First Look before seeing each other. But Marisa wrote Megan a sweet note to read beforehand!
I am in love with this bouquet. Colonial Florist did an amazing job.
This ring box is what Megan used when proposing to Marisa!
Their First Look took place right next to their ceremony site, overlooking the valley. It doesn’t matter how many times I take photos here, I can’t get over these beautiful views!
Showing off the Converse.
They had such a fun bridal party, and I LOVED the colors. Lavender and gray look so good together!
When you have out-of-town family members that can’t make it to the wedding, the next best thing is cardboard cutouts!
This might have been the moment at the beginning of the ceremony where Megan’s nephew Jack shouted “poopy!” haha!
I don’t normally use family photos in my blog posts, but this one was too good not to share. Nephew Jack making everyone laugh again!
After the ceremony, the reception was held at the Lydia Pavilion. I loved how all the lavender centerpieces and purple uplighting tied in their wedding colors.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is when the dance floor opens up and everyone pulls out their best dance moves. And these brides and wedding guests did not disappoint!
For their cake cutting, Marisa and Megan decided to do a cake smash competition. Wedding guests had to put money in the jar for the bride that they wanted to see have cake smashed in their face. And Megan was the big winner!
This fun dance floor was the perfect ending to a beautiful wedding day. Marisa and Megan couldn’t have asked for better people to party with!
