Century Club of Rochester Wedding | Rochester, NY | Sarah and John
I’m so excited to share these photos from Sarah and John’s wedding day at the Century Club of Rochester! Sarah and I grew up together, and it was so fun to see all the familiar faces celebrating with her. They had a beautiful summer day that started off in our hometown of Irondequoit. Sarah and the bridesmaids got ready that morning at Sarah and John’s house, and her talented cousins were the hair and makeup team!
I loved the cute matching robes that all of the girls had!
Sarah and John exchanged letters to each other while they were getting ready. One of my favorite wedding traditions!
Before heading over to the church, we grabbed a few pictures in Sarah’s backyard with her and the bridesmaids. I am in love with their green dresses!
A quick drive across Irondequoit brought us to Christ the King for the wedding ceremony. John and Sarah didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, so they both had big smiles as Sarah walked down the aisle!
After the ceremony, we went to Durand Eastman Park for pictures with the bridal party. We also did Sarah and John’s engagement pictures at Durand, so it was fun that we got to back there on their wedding day! This spot behind the White Lady’s Castle always has such beautiful sunlight coming through the trees ❤️️❤️️❤️️
Look, you can see Sarah’s “something blue” in this photo! A bobby pin in her hair.
After pictures, we made our way to the Century Club for the reception.
Sarah and John started their relationship thanks to a volleyball team they joined with some mutual friends, so of course volleyball was present on their big day! They had a volleyball cake topper, and fun signature drinks like “Sets on the Beach” and “Spiked Lemonade” haha.
Cake cuttings are typically uneventful, but these two had a fun surprise during theirs…as they went to cut their wedding cake, the knife broke off in their hands! It provided a good laugh for all the weddings guests crowded around watching.
As usual, the DJ from Showcase Sound provided awesome entertainment, and kept the dance floor packed all night long. John and Sarah’s friends and family sure know how to party!
One of the traditions in Sarah’s family is to break out the Buffalo Bills helmets on the dance floor. I’m so glad they decided to continue it!
Congrats again Sarah and John, and big thank you to all the vendors that helped make the day possible!
