Josephine Butler Parks Center Wedding | Washington, DC | Camilla and Brian (and Max)
Camilla and Brian’s Josephine Butler Parks Center wedding in Washington, DC was my last fall wedding of 2019, and what a way to end the season! The weather was beautiful, the reception was a blast, and their rescue dog, Max, joined in for part of the day too.
These two are seriously one of the most adorable couples I’ve ever worked with. Every single time I took a picture of them with someone - whether it was the formal family photos, or just candids with guests during the reception - Camilla stopped to genuinely thank the person for being there, and told them how much she loves them. It was the sweetest thing ever! You could really tell that Camilla and Brian have surrounded themselves with friends and family who truly make them happy.
Max looking all dapper with his bow tie. So cute!
How gorgeous does Camilla look in her dress?!
Brian and Camilla had their first look at Meridian Hill Park, which is right across the street from Josephine Butler Parks Center. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and convenient place for wedding photos!
The wedding party joined us at Meridian Hill Park too, and they were such a fun group. I also loved the mismatched bridesmaid dresses!
Also we totally lucked out to get this little corner of the park to ourselves! Meridian Hill is a pretty popular spot on nice weekends.
Perfect fall wedding bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids! Rewild DC did an amazing job.
After wedding party pictures, we did a little bit of exploring around the park with these three! (If you want to see even MORE photos of this happy little family, you gotta check out their Rock Creek Park engagement pictures.)
And then we grabbed a couple more pictures outside of the Josephine Butler Parks Center before heading in for the ceremony!
Brian and Camilla were married by a friend of theirs while standing in front of the beautiful fireplace.
I loved that they had a personalized crossword puzzle during the cocktail hour! The guests got such a kick out of it.
The best man and maid of honor crushed their toasts and had everyone laughing!
When your family is from Boston, Red Sox hats and Sweet Caroline sing alongs are obvious wedding reception choices!
A friend of Camilla and Brian’s actually made their wedding cake! It looked amazing, tasted delicious, and I LOVED that Max got included in the cake topper.
Before they officially booked me to be their photographer, Camilla, Brian, and I bonded over a shared love for Lionel Richie. So of course “All Night Long” made their reception playlist! They had some great music choices, and everyone had so much fun on the dance floor.
Big thanks to all the vendors who made Brian and Camilla’s wedding day so perfect!
