Engagement Photos at Airlie | Warrenton, VA | Nicole and John
Airlie, in Warrenton, VA, is a beautiful place for engagement photos, even in the winter. So it’s no surprise that Nicole and John chose this location for their session! Between the historic buildings and manicured gardens, the backdrops for photos are endless. One of my favorite spots for pictures at Airlie is the iconic grand staircase - so of course we took tons of photos here!
You can tell from the snow on the ground in some of these photos - it was pretty cold out. But I love it when my clients are adventurous and willing to brave the elements in order to get great photos!
I loved their outfits. A lot of couples choose to do one fancy outfit and one more casual, and Nicole and John knocked it out of the park with their fancy attire! Nicole even braving the open toe shoes in February!
We had the whole property to ourselves, so taking over the bridge for photos was no problem at all.
Nicole and John did not care about the cold - they were having FUN during their photos! We captured so much laughter in these pictures.
I love that Airlie’s butterfly garden is beautiful even in the winter!
Harry’s Restaurant, located in the back of Airlie House, had some beautiful string lights that lit up in the middle of our session. It was perfect timing right as we walked by!
I think this was the coldest part of the evening - where I made Nicole and John take their jackets off 😂 But they had such cute sweaters on, it was worth the two minutes of shivering!
If your partner is willing to give you a piggy back ride, you also have to be willing to give them a piggy back ride. It’s only fair.
Can’t wait for their intimate wedding this spring in DC! (When hopefully it will also be warmer haha.)
