Tregaron Conservancy Surprise Proposal | Washington, DC | Riley and Sarah
Sarah knew that Riley had planned a spring photo session at Tregaron Conservancy, but she didn’t know there would be a proposal and another big surprise involved too! Riley and Sarah do lots of urban hiking, and they love taking walks through all of Tregaron Conservancy’s beautiful trails, so it was a great spot for a portrait session and for a very memorable day. The timing in early spring was perfect, with daffodils EVERYWHERE throughout the gardens.
After the proposal came the second surprise - Sarah’s whole family was in on the plan and had been watching from the road! Sarah’s sister even flew in from Colorado for the event. It was so special that they were able to be there and celebrate immediately afterward with Riley and Sarah!
After a little bit of celebrating and lots of hugs, Sarah’s family hung out in the proposal spot while we went off to explore the property and take more photos.
These two are so cute together!
How adorable is Sarah’s dress?? So perfect for spring photos!
Not only did Riley do an amazing job planning the whole proposal, but he also got a beautiful ring and ring box. It was so fitting for this nature-loving couple.
I loved this creek area lined with daffodils. Even though most of the trees in DC don’t have leaves yet, this area of Tregaron was so lush and green!
We finished up with a few photos at this awesome stone bridge, and then Riley and Sarah met back up with their family to continue celebrating their engagement. We had a such a beautiful evening and I’m so glad everything came together with Riley’s plans and the best surprise ever!
