Dirt Farm Brewing Surprise Proposal | Bluemont, VA | Alex and Janell

This surprise proposal at Dirt Farm Brewing was the perfect way to spend a spring evening! Alex and Janell had a little getaway planned where they had rented a cottage for the night on the Dirt Farm Brewing/Bluemont Vineyards property. Right next to their cottage was a giant hill with a beautiful view of the vineyards and valley below, and Alex knew this was going to be a gorgeous, memorable place to get engaged.

I was able to hang out up at the top of the hill where the brewery seating is, so even if Janell looked up and saw me, I just looked like a brewery customer with a camera. The other guests quickly caught on to what was happening, so Alex and Janell had a fun round of applause and shouts of “congratulations” after Janell said yes!

I’m obviously a little biased as a redhead myself 😂, but how gorgeous is Janell’s hair?!

I just love this view of the valley. So glad the weather cooperated and Alex and Janell had a warm sunny day for their engagement!

Dirt Farm Brewing has some giant logs on the property, and luckily Janell was adventurous enough to climb up on them in her wedges 😂 Not an easy task!

Shortly after the proposal most of the other brewery customers left, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves - one of the perks to doing photos on a weekday!
