Backyard Summer Wedding | Arlington, VA | Katy and Nick (and Duncan, Maggie, and Kalie)

 

So excited to share Katy and Nick’s backyard summer wedding! With the help of Blue Sapphire Events, the backyard of Katy’s parents’ house was completely transformed into this stunning wedding space. There were beautiful florals, wooden farmhouse tables, string lights and THREE adorable dogs. The absolute perfect recipe for an amazing wedding day.

Backyard weddings are A LOT of work, but when it’s pulled together as seamlessly as this, Katy and Nick made it look easy!

Every single detail looked amazing! This backyard really was the perfect space.

Katy’s dad built the wooden arbor which was such a great touch for their ceremony.

After the ceremony we took some time to get wedding couple portraits around the yard, and of course the pups were involved!

I am pretty sure my squeaky tennis ball gets credit for this shot of all three dogs looking at the camera at the same time 🙂

Then it was reception time under the tent! Katy and Nick had their first dance, which was followed by some hilarious toasts.

As the sun began to set, it was time for the string lights to get turned on and time to cut the cake. The dogs were so funny, patiently waiting to be served their cake too. And they even joined in for some of the dancing! I’m pretty sure their favorite part was when the song Who Let the Dogs Out was played 😂

When the reception came to an end, Katy and Nick enjoyed one last dance together on the patio. It was such an amazing day!
