Great Marsh Estate Summer Wedding | Bealeton, VA | Stephanie and Chris
This Great Marsh Estate summer wedding was such an amazing day! Stephanie and Chris (with the help of their incredible planner Carmen at Evermore Occasions) planned the perfect celebration in Bealeton, Virginia. With a historic Georgian Mansion, 120 acres of lawn and woodland, and a beautiful reception stable, they chose the perfect venue for their special day. (Also fun fact - this venue is where the Love is Blind Season 7 couples had their weddings 😂)
We started the day off with getting ready photos, and the bridal suite at Great Marsh had the perfect setup for Stephanie and her bridesmaids. They had tons of beautiful details to photograph, and I am completely obsessed with Chris and Stephanie’s invitation suite. It featured beautiful artwork illustrating Great Marsh Estate, but more importantly, it showed off their pets! They were sure to include those cute little fur babies into their wedding day as much as possible!
There are so many great photo locations on the property, and Stephanie and Chris planned plenty of portrait time so we could visit them all. The covered back portico is always a favorite choice for couples, especially on a sunny summer day.
I loved their wedding party colors, and the pops of pink in the bouquets!
This flower-covered hexagon arch was such a stunning choice for their ceremony decor.
If your dogs can’t join you on your wedding day, I love this idea of having miniature versions of your four-legged BFFs walking down the aisle instead 😂
Not many wedding venues have such beautiful views on both ends of their ceremony site! Walking down the aisle with the historic mansion in the background, and then overlooking the vast lawn during the ceremony itself, there was beauty in every direction.
They had such a heartfelt ceremony (with plenty of laughs too), and some of my favorite photos from the day were of their recessional back up the aisle afterwards. The giant smile on Stephanie’s face says it all!
While the guests made their way over to the stable for cocktail hour, we had some more time to get couples portraits with Stephanie and Chris.
Can’t forget some veil swoop photos!
This was my first ever wedding with axe throwing, but hopefully it won’t be the last! It was such a fun and unique idea for guest entertainment during cocktail hour, and definitely brought out everyone’s competitive spirit.
While guests worked on their axe-throwing skills 😂, the barn was being set up for the reception. I love the look of the farmhouse tables, and there were some DELICIOUS desserts that were visually stunning too.
As the sun was setting, we snuck away from the reception for a few more photos outside.
Then it was time for dancing. Stephanie and Chris partied the night away with their friends and family and everyone had so much fun on the dance floor!
