Tudor Place Wedding Photos | Washington, DC | Amy and Brian (and Ellie)
This Tudor Place wedding took place on such a perfect spring day! Amy and Brian planned their DC elopement on an April weekend, which of course we all know is hard to predict what the trees and flowers will look like at that time of year. But they lucked out that the plants at Tudor Place all started to blossom just days before their wedding! So they not only had all of the gorgeous natural greenery, but got the added bonus of extra color from the daffodils, redbuds, and azaleas!
Their adorable dog Ellie joined in for the celebration too, and she was the perfect little model for photos.
Their wedding ceremony took place in the Bowling Green in front of a beautiful pond. It really felt like we were in the Secret Garden!
Amy and Brian’s friends and family wrote letters for them to read during the ceremony which was so sweet, and a great way to incorporate them into their big day even when they couldn’t be there!
Eliie had the very important role of best dog/ring bearer during the ceremony - she walked right up to them on command to deliver the rings.
After the ceremony we had fun exploring the gardens to take more photos. There were so many great places to choose from!
One of my favorite locations was the pathway leading up to the historic house that was lined with yellow tulips.
The box knot garden was another one of my favorite spots!
That laser focus is brought to you by dog treats 😂
Amy and Brian had such a perfect elopement and I’m so glad they brought me along to help document it!
